Using waxing hair removal, hair takes 3 to 6 weeks to grow back. Hair re-growth becomes sparse with repeated wax treatments over time.

Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long to wax. If the hair is any shorter, it will be difficult to wax. Apply the wax strip immediately after wax application, press firmly for 3-4 seconds in the direction of hair growth and pull the wax strip off quickly in the opposite direction in parallel to skin. Practice good technique.

Slight redness is normal after any waxing session, but swollen, discolored or irritated skin could be the result of poor technique. When pulling off the wax strip, hold the skin taut and pull the wax strip off parallel to the skin. If this causes discomfort, apply gentle pressure to the area with your hand or fingertips. Apply а light layer of corn-starched based powder to the skin before waxing. The powder will keep the skin dry and moisture free in preparation for waxing. It also acts а light barrier between the wax and the skin, thus minimizing discomfort.

Hair removal irritations like red bumps, ingrown hair and rashes are often а common by-product of bad waxing. They can on the other hand be treated and prevented with proper technique, hygiene, and frequent skin exfoliation.

To minimize the risk of irritation and ingrown hairs, avoid wearing tight clothing over newly waxed areas. Exfoliate the skin 24 to 48 hours after the waxing session to prevent the build up of dead skin cells provoking ingrown hair.

Do not expose newly waxed areas to the sun for at least 48 hours after treatment.

A good sun block is also recommended to protect the skin from hyperpigmentation.

Because skin tends to be more sensitive right before and right after your menstrual cycle, waxing can be more painful. Try to avoid scheduling waxing sessions 3-4 days before and 3-4 days after your period.
