The Pros and Cons of Azulene Wax
If you have particularly sensitive or fair skin, or if waxing leaves you red and blotchy, this special Azulene formula could be the right wax for you.
Liquid Azulene
Wax soothes the skin and reduces the redness suffered by so many waxers. Liquid Azulene Wax gently and efficiently removes unwanted hair and will never change color or consistency. Also, completely fragrance free. Azulene Wax is specifically formulated to soothe the skin. This wax has been formulated with Azulene Oil, ? derivative of the chamomile plant family with proven anti-inflammatory properties; Azulene Wax will benefit all skin types and is perfect for those with sensitive skin. Azulene Oil has been used for centuries far its restorative properties and new you can benefit from this fantastic wax. This was the first liquid organic wax for professional hair removal, developed over 40 years ago in New York City by ? renowned European chemist Grete Rafael. Today salons and home users all over the world are enjoying the benefits of the Epilating System. Using this type of epilation, hair takes 3 to 6 weeks to grow back. Hair re growth becomes sparse with repeated wax treatments over time. You will appreciate the gentle epilation achieved with this wax. This is ? quality product by ? world trusted manufacturer. American International Industries (AII) was founded in 1971. It is now one of the largest privately held manufacturers and distributors in the U.S. of high-quality beauty and self-care products for men and women. They have 30 years experience, over 29 brands, 100s of individual products sold in over 100 countries around the world.
Hair should be at least 1/4 inches long to wax. If the hair is any shorter, it will not work. Apply the wax strip immediately after wax application, rub firmly for 3-4 seconds in the direction of hair growth and pull the wax strip off quickly in the opposite direction. Practice good technique. Slight irritation is normal after any waxing session, but swollen, discolored or irritated skin could be the result of poor technique. When pulling off the wax strip, hold the skin taut and pull the wax strip off parallel to the skin. If this causes discomfort, apply gentle pressure to the area with your fingertips. Ice also works to decrease sensitivity. Make sure the wax is at the correct temperature - too hot will burn, and too cold will cause the strip to rip or not adhere properly to the wax. Liquid Wax can be heated in the Gigi Professional Wax Warmer. By maintaining the perfect temperature, wax remains at its ideal consistency and never gets too hot. A good wax warmer is ? worthwhile investment if you really want to achieve salon results. It’s also ? lot more convenient than continually having to run back to the kitchen to heat your wax!
Apply ? light layer of medicated Cuticura Talcum powder to the skin before waxing. The talc will keep the skin dry and moisture free in preparation for waxing. The talc also acts ? light barrier between the wax and the skin, thus minimizing discomfort. To treat and prevent ugly ingrown hair irritations, use ? salon quality post waxing treatment. Hair removal irritations like red bumps, in growing hairs and rashes are unfortunately ? common by-product of waxing. They can on the other hand be treated and prevented by using ? targeted post hair removal treatment product. To minimize the risk of irritation and ingrown hairs, avoid wearing tight clothing over newly waxed areas. Exfoliate the skin 24 to 48 hours after the waxing session to prevent the build up of dead skin cells which will result in ingrown hairs. Do not expose newly waxed areas to the sun for at least 48 hours after treatment. A good sun block is also recommended to protect the skin. Because skin tends to be more sensitive right before and right after your menstrual cycle, waxing can be more painful. Try to avoid scheduling waxing sessions 3-4 days before and 3-4 days after your period. Waxing is ? method of semi-permanent hair removal which removes unwanted hair from the root. The new hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for two to eight weeks depending on your hair growth and cycles. Almost any area of the body can be waxed and various types of waxing are available. Some must be performed by ? licensed cosmetologist or esthetician. If waxing is done regularly for several years, permanent hair reduction may be achieved. There are many advantages of waxing compared to other forms of hair removal. It is an effective method to remove large amounts of hair at one time. This method is long-lasting. Hair in waxed areas will take between two to eight weeks to grow back. When hair is shaved or removed by depilatory cream, the hair is removed at the surface rather than the root. Within ? few days, the hair can be seen at the surface. With these methods, hair tends to grow back in ? rough stubble. Areas that are repeatedly waxed over long periods of time often exhibit re growth that is softer.
There are also many disadvantages to waxing as well. Waxing can be painful when the strip is removed from the skin. Although the pain doesn‘t last long, it can be quite uncomfortable. Another drawback of waxing is the cost: waxing is usually performed by ? licensed cosmetology, and it can be quite expensive. You can purchase do-it-yourself waxing supplies, but they may be difficult to use on yourself on some parts of your body. Hair removal is not permanent. When removed against the direction of hair growth, the wax strip can disturb the hair follicles, causing the hair to start growing in different directions. This could also cause the hair growth to be more noticeable and make other methods of hair removal more difficult. Fortunately, this risk is minimal if the waxing is performed properly. Another problem with waxing is that some people experience ingrown hairs, red bumps, and minor bleeding. This is more likely to occur when waxing areas where the hair is thick, especially the first few times when the follicles are strongest. While usually impossible to eliminate, regular exfoliating can be decreased ingrown hairs, and applying an astringent or ? mixture of astringent and oil.
